Job summary

The Alverton Hotel in Truro seeks a friendly Bar Server to join our busy bar team. This is a part-time role with weekend availability essential, and full training provided.

You'll prepare and serve drinks to spec, deliver great guest service, and help with bar organisation, stock and cash handling, while supporting colleagues across restaurant and events during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred, full training provided.
• A friendly, positive and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences.

• Deliver exceptional customer service, responding confidently to guest requests and queries.

• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and service-focused individual to join the team at The Alverton Hotel as Bar Server. You will be passionate about delivering exceptional service, creating memorable guest experiences and maintaining high standards in a busy bar environment.
Please note this is a part time role, weekend availability is essential.
