Job summary

Coventry Building Society is seeking a Customer Service Assistant in Barnsley. You will be the first point of contact for personal and business banking customers, supporting them across in person, phone, and secure message channels.

This role involves safeguarding customers from fraud and promoting additional banking solutions. The role requires strong customer service experience, accuracy in data handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with colleagues to meet branch

Qualifications

• Current experience in a customer focused role.
• Experience interacting directly with customers on a daily basis.
• Good attention to detail with accurate data handling.
• Ability to assist customers from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable individuals.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Computer literacy and navigating multiple systems confidently.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for personal and business banking customers at Barnsley branch.
• Support customers across in person, telephone and secure messages channels.
• Encourage customers to book appointments with Personal Banking Team for additional products.
• Protect and educate customers against fraud and scams while handling records accurately.
