Job summary

Affinity Trust in Whitstable is seeking a compassionate support worker to empower people to live great lives on their own terms. You will promote independence, build social connections, and help individuals participate in daily activities across Whitstable, Blean, and Herne Bay.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a car to travel between locations; full training is provided, and enhanced DBS checks are paid for.

• help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible
• support people to build confidence and life skills
• help people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family

• Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour

Who will I support?

You’ll be supporting people in Whitstable (CT5), Blean (CT2), and Herne Bay (CT6). To travel between these areas, you’ll need a car and a full UK driving licence. However, we can consider one applicant who doesn’t drive.

The people we support enjoy a wide variety of social and leisure activities. Whether it’s scenic drives, trips to the cinema, bowling, shopping, or relaxing at garden centres and cafés, no two days are the same. They also love catching up with friends at the pub and spending quality time with their families at home.
