Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

This an exciting opportunity for caring, compassionate and talented Support Workers to work within a well-established service, supporting 1 gentleman. This service will be supporting them with daily living, whilst also promoting their choices, wellbeing and independence.

The person supported here has Autism and Learning Disabilities and has support 24 hours per day, but they also love visiting the local community - especially getting out and about and to charity shops

They would like their staff team to be quieter but with a dry, sarcastic sense of humour.

At this service there are a core staff team on shift at any one time - these include day shifts and also nights too.

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we’re really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally It Is Important Too That You Share Our Company Values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, Which Are At The Heart Of Everything We Do And Ensure That We Deliver High Quality, Consistent Care And Support. People's Values Are Important To Use, So We Look For People With

  • Patience
  • Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
  • A strong work ethic
  • Reliability
  • Honesty
  • Determination
  • A problem solver
  • Resilience

It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.

We have a really clear plan to achieve this called A Place I Belong. This publicly sets out the promises we’ve made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. You can read more about this by clicking here.
