Job summary

Komplex Community in Droitwich is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently. You will join a hands-on team delivering person-centred care, supporting daily living tasks, confidence-building activities and community access.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence, at least 1 year in care, and a compassionate, resilient approach.

Qualifications

• Full UK (manual) driving licence required.
• At least 1 year experience in care or support is desirable.
• Compassion, resilience and emotional intelligence valued.
• Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with essential daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning and budgeting.
• Encourage independence and build confidence through activities and community access.
• Provide a calm, reliable presence during difficult times and offer emotional reassurance and structure.
• Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected and included.
• Monitor and record progress, celebrate small wins daily.
• Work regular 12-hour shifts, including waking nights, to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

Your Role as a Support Worker

You’ll be part of a dedicated, hands-on team supporting individuals with a range of complex needs such as Autism, Learning disabilities, Mental health conditions, & Challenging behaviour. To help the individual live safely and independently in their own homes. Your work will make a direct and lasting impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals with essential daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting


• Encouraging independence and building confidence through meaningful activities and community access


• Being a calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure


• Promoting routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected, and included


• Monitoring and recording progress, recognising and celebrating small wins every day


• Working regular 12-hour shifts - including waking nights - to provide consistent and high-quality care

What We’re Looking For

• A Full UK (manual) driving licence


• A minimum of one year’s experience working in care or support (desirable)


• Compassion, resilience, and emotional intelligence


• Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge


• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping


• Flexibility to work across services in Shropshire and Staffordshire


• A team-first attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care
