Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Bank Support Worker in Cannock to deliver person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role is rota-based with evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

You will support daily living, promote independence and maintain records, working as part of a friendly team across Beecroft service.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work towards a Health & Social Care qualification.
  • Experience in a care environment is welcomed but not essential.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
  • Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing for service users.
  • Support activities, appointments and community access.
  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Work a rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Bank Support Worker
Location: Cannock
Rate: £12.79 per hour
Permanent | Bank Contract | 0 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service – Beecroft

Beecroft is a supported living environment which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music.,
There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
  • Holidays and short breaks
  • Walks in the local park and community
  • Cooking and baking to develop life skills
The Role

You will:

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans

  • Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

Requirements
  • Willingness to work towards a heatlh & social qualification
  • Experience in a care environment preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
  • Drivers desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
