Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Bank Support Worker for Beech Care in New Romney, Kent, to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role is on a bank/zero-hour contract, with duties spanning daily living support, promoting independence and facilitating activities.

You will join a small team, follow individual support plans, maintain records, and cover a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. No prior experience required; full training provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• DBS required (paid for by employer).

Rate: £13.03 per hour

About the Service – Beech Care

Beech Care is situated in a quiet residential area of New Romney and is within easy reach of the amenities. Beech Care is a bungalow, a residential service supporting service users with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. The service users enjoy visiting the local amenities, having a stroll down to the beach, going swimming, bowling, and going out for meals and picnics. The kitchen has been adapted with easy access for the service users go into the kitchen to do cooking/ baking. Beech care has its own sensory room for the service users to enjoy relaxing music and lights.

Beech Care currently supports 5 service users 4 female and 1 male, they need support with physical disabilities. Some are wheelchair bound and they need hoisting. Some are non verbal.

Access to the garden is via a ramp, service users enjoy using the trampoline and looking after the sensory garden.

You will

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
