Job summary

Newlands, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Stockport. You will guide a care team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care and oversee medication administration. You will maintain care records and liaise with families and professionals to ensure continuity of care.

You will work on a shift pattern under a zero-hours contract, with opportunities to develop and progress within the group through award-winning learning and development programs.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

Our 69 bedded home provides residential and nursing care in the peaceful Heaton Moor area of Stockport. Newlands offers stylish living spaces, beautiful gardens and the luxury Beeches Suite, alongside a friendly team who are passionate about delivering kind care and making a difference every day.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 0 hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
