Appleton Lodge Care Home in Stockport is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support the night team in delivering safe, person-centred care for our residents. You will oversee medication administration, monitor wellbeing, and ensure clear communication with families and healthcare professionals.

The role requires NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable, and experience leading a care team is beneficial.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
• This vacancy is for nights

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
