Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care invites applications for a Bank Scrub Nurse at our Colchester Eye Hospital. This zero hour contract offers flexible shifts to match patient demand and service needs.

You will join a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering diagnostic, pre-operative and post-operative ophthalmic care, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and experience.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current registration
• Minimum of 1 year theatre experience
• Experience in private and operative settings preferred
• Willingness to cover shifts in North London and Central London hospitals

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of ophthalmic nursing care across diagnostics, pre‑assessment and post‑operative stages
• Collaborate with clinical colleagues and optometrists in a multidisciplinary team
• Deliver compassionate, safe patient care while maintaining emphasis on patient experience

Optegra has an exciting job opportunity for a Bank Scrub Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in our prestige private Colchester Eye Hospital. This is a zero hour contract offering flexible shifts. Must be flexible to cover shifts in our North London and Central London Hospitals.

The Role

As part of a multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You’ll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre assessment and post operative ophthalmic care and treatment.

What You’ll Need

• Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Previous experience in an Theatre, minimum of one year
• Have knowledge in private and operation settings.
