Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care is hiring a Bank Scrub Nurse for our Preston Eye Hospital on a zero‑hour contract with flexible shifts. You will join a multi‑disciplinary team ensuring high quality ophthalmic care across pre‑assessment, theatre and post‑operative stages.

Applicants must be a RGN or ODP with current NMC/ODP registration and at least one year of theatre experience, with knowledge of private/operative settings. Closing date: as soon as applications are received.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (NMC/ODP registered).
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Theatre experience of at least 1 year.
• Knowledge of private and operative settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standards of patient care within a theatre setting.
• Work alongside clinical colleagues delivering diagnostics, pre‑assessment and post‑operative ophthalmic care.

The Role

As part of a multi‑disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You’ll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre‑assessment and post‑operative ophthalmic care and treatment.

What You’ll Need

• Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Previous experience in a Theatre, minimum of one year
• Have knowledge in private and operative settings
