Job summary

Compass Children’s Homes is seeking a Bank Support Worker to help children in care. You will work with children and young people, building positive relationships and safeguarding their wellbeing.

No previous experience required; a comprehensive induction and ongoing training will be provided, along with flexible hours and supportive supervision. You will need to be compassionate, calm under pressure, and have a valid manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years of age or above to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Has a valid manual driving licence.
• Previous experience is not essential; comprehensive induction and ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with children and young people in care, building positive relationships and safeguarding.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision.
• Assist with the care of our children and young people, supporting them in activities, hobbies and educational pursuits.
• Create timetables and set boundaries and expectations for the children.
