Job summary

Compass Community is hiring Bank Support Workers to join our children’s homes and make a positive, lasting difference in young lives. You will support daily care, build trusting relationships and help with activities, education and personal development.

No previous experience is required; we offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training and regular supervision. A valid manual driving licence, calm disposition and flexibility are valued as we support safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years or older (Ofsted regulation).
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Previous experience not essential; comprehensive induction provided.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with children in care, building positive relationships and safeguarding them.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision.
• Assist with the care of children and young people, supporting activities, education and hobbies.
• Create timetables and set boundaries and expectations for the children.
