Job summary

Compass Children's Homes is seeking Bank Support Workers to join our dedicated residential team, working closely with children in care to build trust, support development, and safeguard throughout daily activities.

No prior experience is essential; you will receive a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, flexible hours, and supervision. A valid driving licence and calm, compassionate approach are valued in this rewarding role.

Qualifications

• Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
• Is caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
• Has a valid manual driving licence.
• Can remain calm in challenging situations.
• Previous experience is not essential for this role. You will receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with children and young people in care, putting them at the centre of everything you do. You will create positive relationships with them, meeting their needs and always safeguarding them.
• You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
• Using your experience and skills, you will assist with the care of our children and young people, supporting them in all aspects of their lives including activities, hobbies and educational pursuits.
• Consistency and organisation skills are key: you will create timetables and set boundaries and expectations for the children.
