Job summary

Gold Care Homes is seeking Registered Nurses with a valid NMC pin to join our care team. The role involves delivering high-quality care in a warm, purpose-built nursing home setting for older adults, with a focus on compassion, safety and dignity.

You will lead the care team, maintain clear reports, manage medicines, and provide personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual support. The post includes opportunities for supervision, appraisals and involvement in service improvement.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC pin required.
• Experience in elderly care preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Lead the care team to deliver outcomes for residents.
• Maintain effective verbal and written communications and accurate reports to senior care team.
• Wound management.
• Medication management and administration in line with policy.
• Provide personal care including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out staff supervision and appraisals.
• Assist Manager with budgeting and deputy manager duties.

What does the role involve?

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support
• Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
• Wound management
• Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
• Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
• Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
• Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
• Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
• Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
• Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
• Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets – Mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities
