Job summary

Gold Care Homes is seeking Bank Registered Nurses with a valid NMC pin to support our Headington Care Home. The role involves delivering high-quality care to residents, leading the care team, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, personal care, and active participation in training and audits. Flexible shifts are offered with rewards and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bank staff role with flexible shifts.
• Experience in elderly care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record medicines according to policy.

• Implement changes in routine with Manager.
• Assess prospective residents.
• Complete duty rota.
• Carry out internal quality audits.
• Participate in training and development.
• Assist Manager to work within budgets, mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities.

What does the role involve?

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support
• Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
• Wound management
• Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
• Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
• Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
• Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
• Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
• Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
• Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
• Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets - Mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities
