Shaw healthcare is seeking a caring Support Worker for Cwm Celyn, a 24-bed nursing home in Blaina, Gwent. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily activities and help create a safe, respectful environment for residents.

Shift times are 20:00–08:00 on a bank contract with weekend availability. The role offers training and development opportunities within a supportive team at Shaw healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan
• Assisting with personal care including bathing, dressing and hygiene
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluids/food intake and incidents
• Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion for residents
• Working with colleagues to ensure a safe, happy environment for service users

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional support to our lovely service users. The will include, but not limited to:

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan
• Offering personal care, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents

• Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting your colleagues in day-to-day duties
