Job summary

Spire Claremont Hospital in Crosspool, Sheffield, is recruiting an enthusiastic Bank Imaging Administrator to join the Radiology Administration team on an as-and-when basis to cover sickness absence and busy periods.

You will welcome and book patients, manage imaging bookings using SAP and RIS, and prepare paperwork for radiographers. A friendly telephone manner and IT literacy with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of face to face customer/patient interaction.
• Excellent administration skills across multiple databases and systems (training provided).
• Exceptional phone manner and clear communication.
• Medical knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming, registering and booking appointments for patients.
• Maintain an efficient bookings system for in/out-patients using SAP and RIS.
• Collate paperwork to enable radiographers to undertake/report examinations.
• Manage imaging bookings and liaise with department staff as needed.
• Present a professional image and adhere to uniform policy.
• Handle department calls promptly and professionally.

Spire Claremont Hospital is recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Administratorto join its experienced Radiology Administration teamon anas-and-whenbasis, providing cover forsickness absence, annual leave, and periods of increased demand.

Spire Claremont Hospital has provided first-class independent healthcare at the heart of the South Yorkshire community since 1953. Our hospital is situated among beautifully landscaped grounds in Crosspool, Sheffield and it is situated 3 miles (about 20 minutes) to the south west of Sheffield city centre.

We offer a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a dedicated Endoscopy Suite; and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. Specialities include Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Spinal surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology.

• Strong focus on delivering and exceeding customer expectations, with the ability to handle difficult situations
• Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcoming, registering and booking appointments for all patients in a warm, professional and caring manner
• Provide and maintain an efficient bookings system for all in and out-patients using a computerised system (SAP and RIS) for GPs, consultants and other users
• Collate all necessary paperwork to enable radiographer/radiologist to undertake/report the examination
• Responsibility for the efficient management of imaging bookings, liaising with department staff as appropriate
• To present a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to the uniform policy
• Manage the department phone calls in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquiries are responded to in a timely manner. are responded to in a timely manner

• Having previous medical knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
