Job summary

Spire Thames Valley Hospital in Slough is seeking an experienced Radiology Assistant to support the Radiology Department and ensure a safe, patient-centered imaging service. You will assist radiographers, nurses, and administrative colleagues to welcome and prep patients, move and position patients, and maintain smooth workflow.

The role is bank-based, requiring a caring, adaptable professional with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant or similar clinical support role experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and caring approach to patient care.
• Ability to remain calm, professional in a busy healthcare environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing within a team.
• Flexible and reliable with a proactive approach to work.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable).
• Cannulation experience (desirable).
• Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care, safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support the imaging team in delivering outstanding patient care and service

• Monitor patients and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition
• Support radiographers and other clinical colleagues during imaging procedures

• Ensure clinical areas are clean, organised, and ready for patient use
• Maintain accurate records in line with hospital policies and procedures
• Contribute to the safe and effective running of the Radiology Department
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to support excellent clinical outcomes

Spire Thames Valley Hospital is looking for an experienced and motivated Radiology Assistant to join our hardworking Radiology Department team.

About the Role
