Job summary

Spire Montefiore Hospital in Hove is seeking a Bank Imaging Administrator to support the Radiology department on an as-needed basis. You will welcome patients, book appointments, and provide admin support to radiographers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role.
  • Experience dealing directly with patients, customers or members of the public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients, visitors and consultants in a professional, friendly and caring manner.
  • Registering patients and booking appointments accurately using hospital systems.
  • Managing Imaging bookings and ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently.
  • Providing administrative support to radiographers, radiologists and the wider department team.
  • Preparing and collating documentation required for examinations and reporting.
  • Managing incoming telephone calls and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Liaising with consultants, GPs, patients and internal departments to coordinate appointments and investigations.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Supporting the department to deliver an outstanding patient experience at all times.
  • Presenting a professional image and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, professional and customer‑focused Bank Imaging Administrator to join our friendly Radiology team on a flexible bank basis.

This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy patient‑facing environment and can provide exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the Imaging Department. As a Bank colleague, you will work on an as‑required basis to support the department during periods of annual leave, sickness absence and increased service demand.
