Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood is seeking an outstanding Housekeeper on a flexible bank contract with shifts from 8am to 4:30pm. The role supports CAMHS Tier 4 PICU and other services, ensuring a clean and safe environment for people in care at the Bury site.

The position requires experience in housekeeping, COSHH awareness, and good communication. DBS check will be enhanced if selected; a supportive team and progression opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable)
Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable)
Friendly, conscientious with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service
Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
Replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained
Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures
Comply with COSHH regulations

You’ll be workinga flexible bank contract with shifts from 8am to 4:30pm available at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Cygnet Bury Forestwood offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure services across four wards which provide a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge including rapid assessment and treatment.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

In addition there is a diverse educational programme teaching a range of subjects available at the on-site school, Forestwood School, which is registered with the Department for Education.
