Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a Bank General Assistant - Catering to support the preparation and serving of meals at Doddington Court, Cambridgeshire. This not-for-profit foundation offers funded hospitality qualifications and a supportive, inclusive team environment.

You will assist with meals, maintain cleanliness, and help provide a calm, well‑organised dining experience for residents while following food hygiene standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering (or willingness to work towards).
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare meals and drinks while following food hygiene standards.
• Support customers and colleagues to deliver a high standard of service.
• Keep kitchens, communal areas, and flats clean and tidy.
• Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely.
• Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable).
• Some experience in a domestic or catering environment.

We’re excited to welcome a Bank General Assistant - Catering to support the preparation and serving of nutritious, well-presented meals at our Doddington Court, Benwick Road, Doddington, Cambridgeshire, PE15 0WD Retirement Community, without the long hours or split shifts often found in hospitality. Working as part of a friendly kitchen team, you’ll help create a positive dining experience for residents within a calm, well-organised environment.
