Job summary

Jane Lewis Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Bank Childrens Support Worker for Buttons Residential Service in Swindon. You will provide practical care, help with activities, and support independence for children with complex health needs. Aged over 23, UK work rights, and prior UK-based child experience are required.

Offering flexible bank shifts, weekly pay, and training; DBS and bonuses available. PEG, Suppository, and Team Teach training are required; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience working with children in the UK
• Experience in SEN setting preferred
• Must have right to work in the UK
• PEG training, Suppository training and Team Teach required

Pay: From £18.22 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay

We are looking for experienced Children's Support Workers to join the bank team at Buttons Residential Service in Swindon.

We are offeringan exciting opportunity providing support and specialist residential care for children and young people with complex health conditions, such as brain injuries, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities or other complex needs.Please note that for this role we can only accept applicants over 23 years old with experience working with Children or SEN experience, due to the clinical needs of the service users.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing practical care and support to children and young people
• Helping them take part in everyday activities, play and outings
• Encouraging independence, choice and social interaction in ways suited to their age and needs
• Providing or prompting personal care when required
• Following individual support plans and keeping accurate records

What you'll need:

• To be over the age of 23 to apply
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Have 1 year's prior experience working with children within the UK
• Have experience working win a SEN setting
• Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification Required
• Have experience with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities
• Have a genuine passion working in the healthcare sector and empathy towards others

All applicants will be required to complete PEG training, Suppository training and Team Teach.
