Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts at Rodley House in Lydney, Gloucestershire. You will provide companionship, personal care and support with meals, helping residents live as independently as possible with dignity.

This bank role offers day and night shifts, funded training up to QCF level 5, and access to pension and benefits. A minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Day and night bank roles available.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, communication and engagement.
• Support personal care including washing, dressing and oral care.
• Assist with medications and creams as prompted or administered.
• Support clients with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Carry out light domestic tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Help clients move and mobilise to maintain independence.
• Coordinate social activities and outings within the home.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care -supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication -Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
