We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Dietitian to join the team at Fairfield General Hospital in Coventry. This role involves providing high-quality nutritional care and dietary advice to acutely unwell inpatients, with a particular focus on critical care. The successful candidate will work with a wide range of patients, providing nutritional assessments, advice, and support, including the management of enteral feeding (tube feeding) and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). You will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to less experienced staff. This is a full-time role with a Monday to Friday schedule, starting ASAP and running until 21st January 2025.
Responsibilities:
As a Locum Dietitian, you will be responsible for assessing and managing patients in an acute hospital setting, offering nutritional assessments and tailored dietary advice. The role includes working with critically ill patients, providing nutrition support such as oral nutritional supplements (ONS) and tube feeding, including TPNs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal nutrition management for patients. In addition to direct patient care, you will provide supervision and support to junior or less experienced staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. You will be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with NHS standards and provide education to patients and their families regarding nutrition.
