Job summary

Wenzel’s the Bakers is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead frontline teams, prepare fresh food items, and deliver excellent customer service in a retail environment. You will oversee daily store operations, assist the Shop Manager, manage stock, and help grow sales while maintaining high standards of hygiene and cost control.

The role offers a £13.00 per hour rate with a 39-hour week over 5 days, including weekends, and opportunities for training and progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in retail or customer service.
• Experience in food production is advantageous but not essential; training provided.
• Ability to work 39 hours over 5 days, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assist with stock and produce management.
• Maintain shop displays and product knowledge.
• Ensure hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Handle cash and operate till.
• Open or close the shop as required.
• Run shifts across the week to drive sales and minimise wastage.
