Job summary

Wenzel’s the Bakers in Wembley invites applications for a Shop Supervisor to lead a busy team, prepare fresh food, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will support the Shop Manager, drive sales, and maintain high standards across food quality, hygiene and stock control.

The role offers 39 hours per week over five days, with a starting rate of £13.00 per hour and flexible working discussions where possible. Training and progression are highlighted in the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
• Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assisting with the management of branch stock and produce.
• Maintaining shop displays.
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
• Preparation of food in line with the specification.
• Food and produce quality control.
• Maintaining the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently within a team.
• Cash handling, and till operation.
• Opening or closing the shop when required.
• Running shifts at various times during the week
• Driving sales and minimising wastage.
