Job summary

Wenzel’s the Bakers is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead frontline teams in our London-area stores. You will manage daily operations, greet customers, receive deliveries, supervise staff, and help drive sales while upholding food safety and quality standards.

The role offers training to company standards, career progression, a 39-hour week over five days, a £13.00 hourly rate, and a benefits package including a pension, paid birthday day off, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
• Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assisting with the management of branch stock and produce.
• Maintaining shop displays.
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
• Preparation of food in line with the specification.
• Food and produce quality control.
• Maintaining the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently within a team.
• Cash handling, and till operation.
• Opening or closing the shop when required.
• Running shifts at various times during the week
• Driving sales and minimising wastage.
