Job summary

Wenzel’s is seeking a Shop Supervisor to join our team in a fast-paced, customer-focused bakery environment. You will oversee daily store operations, help prepare fresh ingredients, and ensure high standards of service and product quality while supporting the Shop Manager.

The role offers a competitive £13.00 per hour rate, a 39-hour week, and opportunities for progression. Benefits include pension, holiday entitlement, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
• Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assisting with the management of branch stock and produce.
• Maintaining shop displays.
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
• Preparation of food in line with the specification.
• Food and produce quality control.
• Maintaining the highest level of hygiene, cleanlinessand food safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently within a team.
• Cash handling, and till operation.
• Opening or closing the shop when required.
• Running shifts at various times during the week
• Driving sales and minimising wastage.
