Job summary

Highland Fuels Ltd. is seeking an experienced Depot Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient and compliant depot operations.

This hands-on role includes driver debriefs, vehicle checks, and planning, with potential involvement in varied service providers to ensure vehicles are ready for the next morning shift. Key duties include debriefing drivers, recording defects, reviewing deliveries, and maintaining paperwork and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet or depot operations.
• Good understanding of vehicle and depot compliance.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to build relationships with drivers and stakeholders.
• Analytical and detail oriented with reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured debriefs with returning drivers.
• Identify and record vehicle defects before parking.
• Review failed or delayed deliveries and follow up actions.
• Complete paperwork and compliance checks before shift end.
• Feed operational data into the next day's planning.
• Reallocate vehicles or amend routes to fix issues.
• Carry out daily depot, yard and vehicle walk‑round checks.
• Deliver toolbox talks to drivers and issue routes.
• Use CODAS for planning and re-routing.
• Prepare driver performance reports using Webfleet and Vision.
