Job summary

CO-OP is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager for the Birtley depot. You will lead a sizeable team of warehouse operatives, ensuring safe and accurate picking and packing while coaching the team to improve results weekly.

This role operates on a back shift (2pm–10pm), 39 hours per week, five days out of seven including weekends, at the Birtley CDC site. You’ll drive standards, lead performance reviews and develop strong internal partnerships to support store customers.

• Experience leading a sizeable warehouse team.
• Strong planning and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a sizeable team of warehouse operatives to ensure accurate picking and packing.
• Inspire, engage and coach the team to improve efficiency and performance week on week.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety, policies and procedures.
• Analyse performance data and identify process improvements within the team and warehouse operations.
• Plan and organise workload for self and team, meeting tight deadlines and critical measures.
• Develop positive relationships with internal partners to support operations.
