Job summary

Smiths News plc in Swindon is seeking an experienced Modern Workplace engineer to join our IT team, reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. You will be responsible for resolving high-level technical issues related to Microsoft 365, Azure services, Intune compliance, and other modern workplace technologies.

You will participate in IT projects, drive continuous improvement, and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Experience with modern workplace technology (Intune, Azure, Microsoft 365).
Familiarity with end user compute environments and OS management.
Ability to document processes and create runbooks.
Strong communication and incident resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary escalation point for Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune related issues.
Participate in IT projects related to modern workplace enhancements and migrations.
Stay up to date with Microsoft technologies and best practices.
Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, diagrams, and procedures.
Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot incidents and projects.
