Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a hands-on Security Consultant to combine technical delivery with client-facing consulting. You will assess, design, improve and govern security controls across cloud environments, applications, APIs, infrastructure and enterprise security domains.

The role requires challenging customer security assumptions, influencing stakeholders and leading constructive conversations to drive secure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Cloud security expertise across cloud environments with AWS
• Experience reviewing or implementing secure cloud architectures and landing zones
• Knowledge of cloud-native security services and best practices for workload, storage, network
• Experience securing applications and APIs across SDLC
• Identity and access management concepts: RBAC, MFA, federation/SSO
• Hands-on SIEM experience: log onboard, detection, alerting, dashboards
• Data protection: encryption, key management, data lifecycle
• Threat detection engineering and incident response readiness
• Experience with IaC and security checks in pipelines
• Strong consulting skills and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Assess current-state security maturity and identify remediation roadmaps
• Lead security reviews across cloud, infrastructure, IAM, data protection and detection/response
• Advise customers on security strategy, risk reduction and operating models
• Challenge security assumptions with evidence-based recommendations
• Design cloud landing zones, network segmentation and identity models
• Embed security into delivery pipelines and IaC practices
• Support threat detection, incident response readiness and improvements
• Contribute to security standards, patterns and client deliverables including risk registers
