Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a hands-on Security Consultant to combine delivery capability with client-facing consulting. The role spans cloud security, IAM, data protection, and incident response across architectures, apps and infrastructure. You will challenge assumptions and drive secure outcomes in a customer-facing setting.

You will partner with engineering, DevOps and operations teams to embed security into pipelines, while contributing to standards, risk registers and executive summaries.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud security architecture and control design.
• Hands-on security across cloud environments, IAM, data protection and networking.
• Experience securing cloud architectures, landing zones and guardrails.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security services and best practices.
• Experience in threat detection, incident response and SIEM tuning.
• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess current security maturity, identify gaps and remediation roadmaps.
• Lead security architecture reviews across cloud, apps, IAM, data protection.
• Advise customers on security strategy, risk reduction and operating model improvements.
• Challenge security assumptions with evidence-based recommendations.
• Design secure cloud landing zones, identity models and logging patterns.
• Embed security into delivery pipelines and IaC practices.
• Support threat detection readiness, incident response and post-incident improvements.
• Contribute to security standards, policies and client deliverables.
