Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President in the Operations & Administration (OAD) Customer Services Department to join our London team. The role focuses on delivering a first-class level of service to corporate clients and internal partners, resolving queries related to payments and day-to-day banking matters such as cash pooling.

Qualifications

• Background in commercial payments or payment investigations.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service via phone and email.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cover all aspects of payment investigations including beneficiary claims, non-receipt, sanctions and fraud referrals and general account enquiries.
• Review outstanding Nostro breaks and determine next steps for timely clearance.
• Execute and monitor daily Cash Pooling for customers across EMEA.
• Process retail banking products such as cheque payments in, standing orders, direct debits and BACS processing.
• Produce audit letters on behalf of customers.
• Manage tasks around RMA administration.
• Participate in UAT testing for new products, services and IT builds.
