Job summary

Gama Aviation in Bournemouth seeks a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to own direct aircraft parts fulfilment and support broad procurement activities. You will work with engineering teams across locations to resolve shortages, optimise stock, and ensure timely availability for maintenance.

The role requires aviation procurement experience, fast-paced adaptability, and strong collaboration with local operations.

Qualifications

• Previous procurement experience in an aircraft engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of Part 145/Part M regulations.
• Strong knowledge of aviation network of suppliers and aircraft parts supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Act as the functional expert for procurement challenges and first escalation point for parts shortages.
• Engage with local operational teams to ensure smooth department operations.
• Participate in quality audit programme and implement audit actions.
• Sell spares and services, quote and invoice customers, manage rotable pool to improve options.
• Manage supplier audits in line with mandated requirements.
• Develop procedures for procurement and materials management for efficiency.
• Work within approved budgets and address variances.
• Attend company meetings and record minutes for department dissemination.
• Review stock levels with maintenance and stores to reduce excess or obsolete stock.
• Own system data and reduce open orders, quality escapes, and related issues.
• Deliver accurate stock holdings using standard calculations.
• Communicate with remote bases to keep them updated and supported.
