Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Planning Team Leader to join the Operational Maintenance Planning management team at Heathrow. You will lead Planning Engineers in producing balanced, cost‑effective maintenance plans while ensuring fleet compliance. The role supports continuous improvement of planning processes and develops a high‑performing team.

The position is on shift with day and night work, offering a dynamic operational environment and opportunities to shape engineering strategy and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance plans that balance cost and availability while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate ADD / Op Def clearance with Engineering to drive success.
• Create a culture that enables high performance and development of the team.
• Report and present performance to senior stakeholders and advise on actions.
• Manage key suppliers to ensure delivery within financial constraints.
• Coordinate across Engineering to maximise downtime opportunities and meet schedules.
• Interface with Global Operations to align objectives and planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide cover for other tasks as needed.
