British Airways is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our Operational Maintenance Planning team. You will build a plan satisfying a multitude of complex factors, with compliance being the primary driver, and interface with key stakeholder groups across BA's operational spectrum.

This fast-paced role requires resilience, prioritisation, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Aircraft engineering knowledge and regulatory understanding are desirable for success.

Responsabilidades

• Creation of the operational maintenance and casualty plan, the priorities and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements whilst delivering to the customer’s requirements
• Maximise opportunities within the maintenance plan and other key assets through data analysis.
• Responsibility for ADD / Op Def clearance process across Engineering and monitoring to drive success
• Understanding the financial and operational implications of decisions taking into account all factors including potential unintended consequences.
• Responding and dealing with external factors that may impact on the delivery of the plan
• Influences the management of resources across departments and projects to meet operational and financial objectives
• Applying Engineering objectives when making decisions and creating plans
• Ensures high-quality communication takes place with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers and that this takes place in a timely and accurate manner and in line with company Hallmarks
• May be asked to stand in for Team Leader
• Support, participate and contribute to continuously improving processes to ensure they are ‘value added’ cost effective
• Ensure best use of hangars, manpower, components and downtime by ensuring tasks are called in the most effective manner
• Setting standards and policy for key planning principles
• Support the development and usage of metrics and dashboard
