Job summary

MAG (Airports Group) Stansted is seeking an Aviation Firefighter to maintain an effective Fire Service in line with licensing requirements. You will respond to emergencies, maintain competencies, and mobilise resources to protect lives and property.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, medical clearance, and a Civil Aviation Authority Fire Service certificate. Minimum 3 years as Aviation Firefighter is expected; First Aid at Work and LGV are advantageous.

Qualifications

• valid full UK driving licence
• meet required medical standard
• pass entry tests and fitness assessments
• CAA Fire Service (RFFS) certificate of competence
• minimum 3 years’ service as Aviation Firefighter
• First Aid at Work and LGV licence are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Deal with emergency situations and undertake firefighting duties to save lives and protect property
• Maintain technical competencies as defined by Stansted Airport and regulator
• Mobilise resources efficiently to respond to incidents
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external bodies during incidents
• Uphold airport licence per CAP 699 and promote fire safety practices
• Ensure PPE and operational kit are fit for purpose and health and safety standards are met
• Comply with company health and safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement
• Participate in projects and carry out other duties as required by the fire service management
