Job summary

Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer to join the Arts & Humanities Resource Centre in Manchester. The role requires extensive knowledge of AV equipment including filmmaking, photography, broadcasting and audio gear.

The successful candidate will support events and productions, operate and troubleshoot gear, and help maintain the equipment inventory within a university arts environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with AV equipment across filmmaking, photography and broadcasting.
• Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot audiovisual gear in a resource centre.
• Comfort working in a university arts environment with sensitive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and operating AV equipment for events and productions.
• Provide technical support for the Arts & Humanities Resource Centre.
• Help maintain equipment inventory and repair records.
