Job summary

Bear in Cobham is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead the kitchen with passion for fresh, high-quality dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. You will work with the Head Chef to design menus, oversee daily specials and ensure exceptional service in a busy pub environment.

You will manage staff rotas, training and health and safety, while driving sales and maintaining GP and labour controls to support growth and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and delivering quality food.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on approach with ability to manage a kitchen rota and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen in delivering high quality, fresh dishes.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to design daily specials.
• Manage staff rota, training and health & safety protocols.
• Drive sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front of house.
• Ensure GP and labour controls are maintained.
