Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced sonographer for maternity leave cover across its ultrasound department and community bases. The role requires vascular ultrasound certification, CASE postgraduate qualification, and HCPC registration (or SOR option).

Qualifications

• Must hold certified training in vascular ultrasound.
• CASE accredited Post Graduate Ultrasound qualification.
• HCPC registration preferred; SOR registration accepted.
• Willing to work weekends on a rota and travel to multiple sites (Chesterfield, Matlock, Buxton).
• Maintain CPD portfolio and keep up to date with advances in ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous ultrasound examinations to aid clinicians in achieving accurate diagnoses.
• Undertake mandatory training and maintain own CPD portfolio.
• Support, encourage and participate in audit and research within the department.
