Children and Family Health Devon is recruiting a Band 7 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the 0-18 Integrated Pathway on a permanent 0.65 WTE basis. You will provide autonomous clinical leadership and deliver evidence-based assessments, interventions and reviews for children aged 4-18 with EHCPs across Devon.

The role offers agile working across home, office, school and community settings, supervision of colleagues, and opportunities to develop specialist knowledge.

Competenze

• Sound knowledge of child development.
• Advanced training in specialist clinical area.
• Evidence of audit and quality improvement training.
• Experience of working as part of a professional and multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management.
• Experience presenting complex information to staff and senior management.
• Experience implementing changes in service design and delivery.
• Understanding safeguarding of children and relevant policies.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning in paediatric OT.

Mansioni

• Manage a varied caseload of children and young people aged 4–18 across schools, homes, clinics and community settings.
• Autonomous practitioner: assess, plan and deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy colleagues and contribute to service development.
• Provide reports and professional input for SEND tribunals when required.
• Apply sensory integration principles where appropriate and support specialist knowledge development.
