Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust seeks a Band 7 Specialist Occupational Therapist (0-18) to join the Integrated Physical & Sensory Pathway on a permanent 0.65 WTE basis. The post covers children and young people aged 4-18 with EHCPs across Devon, working in schools, homes, clinics and community settings.

You will practice autonomously, lead on assessments and interventions, supervise OT colleagues, and contribute to SEND tribunals as required. Relocation expenses may be considered according to NHS policy.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of child development.
• Advanced training in specialist clinical area.
• Audit and quality improvement training.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of clinical governance.
• Experience in presenting complex information to staff and senior management.
• Experience implementing changes in service design and delivery.
• Understand legal responsibilities of the profession, and health and social care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of 4-18 year olds across school, home, clinic and community settings.
• Provide autonomous assessment, planning and delivery of evidence-based interventions.
• Supervise OT colleagues and contribute to service development activities.
• Prepare professional advice and reports for SEND tribunals when required.
• Apply sensory integration principles where appropriate and develop specialist knowledge as needed.
