Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the 0-18 OT Team on a permanent 0.59 WTE basis. You will work across Devon with children and young people aged 4-18, supporting participation and independence in daily activities, education and play.

The role focuses on developing assessment, goal-setting and intervention skills within a supportive team, delivering interventions in schools, homes and communities and collaborating with families and professionals

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people in paediatric OT
• Knowledge of national/local standards and RCOT/HCPC guidelines
• Experience of a wide range of paediatric OT interventions including sensory processing
• Ability to work across school, home, clinic and community settings
• Autonomous practice with safeguarding and ethical practice

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of children and young people from primary through Year 13 across Devon
• Deliver and review interventions in schools, homes, clinics and community settings
• Incorporate sensory integration principles where appropriate and use evidence-based approaches
• Collaborate with families, schools and other professionals to support participation and independence
