Job summary

SF Recruitment in Bromsgrove seeks a permanent Finance Manager to own the finance function, aligned with the MD and senior leadership. You will manage a hands-on team, drive reporting, and deliver robust commercial insight for ongoing growth.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, with broad exposure across management accounts, budgeting, cashflow, controls and business partnering in a project/contract environment. This role sits on site in Bromsgrove.

Qualifications

• Hands-on finance professional with autonomy and responsibility
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA candidates or qualified by experience
• Experience in construction/contracting/project-based environments is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Monitor cashflow and working capital
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll activities
• Business partner with operational and project teams
• Support project and contract profitability analysis
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong controls
• Support year-end accounts and audit processes
• Provide financial insight to MD for commercial decisions
• Identify and implement improvements to finance systems and reporting
• Take ownership of day-to-day finance function and ensure timely financial information
