Job summary

SF Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager for a permanent role in Bromsgrove. You will own the finance function, collaborating with the Managing Director and senior leadership to drive financial performance and governance in a hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates will bring broad experience across management accounts, budgeting, cashflow management and commercial finance partnering, with ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications or equivalent experience. Construction/project exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounts, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong financial controls and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Ability to partner with operational teams and support project profitability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Monitoring cashflow and working capital.
• Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll activities.
• Business partnering with operational and project teams.
• Supporting project and contract profitability analysis.
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls.
• Supporting year-end accounts and audit processes.
• Providing financial insight to the MD to aid commercial decisions.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to finance systems and reporting.
• Taking ownership of day-to-day finance function and ensuring timely financial information.
