Job summary

Summit Medical Limited is seeking a proactive Facility Caretaker to join our Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will manage day-to-day upkeep of the site, ensuring facilities and grounds are clean, safe and professional to support colleagues across office and manufacturing areas.

As the sole Facility Caretaker, you will organise and prioritise your workload, carry out routine cleaning and maintenance, conduct site checks, coordinate external contractors and address minor

Qualifications

• Experience with routine cleaning and site upkeep.
• Ability to coordinate external contractors for minor works.
• Capable of identifying maintenance needs and prioritising tasks.
• Must be able to perform early morning / evening call-outs and flexi-time.
• Commitment to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning across the site, including bathrooms and canteen areas.
• Perform general facilities maintenance and minor repairs.
• Identify issues and arrange external contractors.
• Coordinate supplier visits for servicing and inspections.
• Maintain grounds and external areas.
• Conduct site checks and address maintenance issues.
• Locking/unlocking and provide call-out support.
• Carry out routine fire alarm testing.
• Support Continuous Improvement projects when required.
• Work safely and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Maintain professional, helpful collaboration with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
