Job summary

CERT Solutions Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Assistant Site Manager / Caretaker to support the day‑to‑day running and maintenance of the school site. You will help ensure tasks are completed efficiently and the premises remain clean, safe and secure for pupils, staff and visitors.

This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday with flexible hours. The ideal candidate will work largely independently, but also collaborate with the Site Manager and contractors, while upholding safeguarding standards

Qualifications

• Has previous experience as Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager or Caretaker in a school or site-based setting.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Hands-on maintenance and practical problem solving abilities.
• Able to prioritise tasks and maintain high standards of work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site.
• Ensuring all scheduled tasks and duties are completed efficiently and on time.
• Carrying out general site maintenance and basic repairs as required.
• Helping to ensure school premises are clean, safe and secure.
• Assisting with site checks and reporting issues to the Site Manager.
• Supporting contractors and visitors when required.
• Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Taking responsibility for completing tasks independently when required.
