Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver autonomous, patient‑centered care across Haltwhistle and surrounding primary care clinics. You will run ANP-led clinics, manage acute and minor illnesses, and triage patients by phone or face‑to‑face, prescribing safely within your scope and documenting all notes meticulously.

The role offers fully flexible sessional work with weekday, evening or weekend availability, across regional GP and community services.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) qualification required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous ANP-led clinics in primary care.
• Manage acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conduct telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe within scope of competence.
• Review results and handle routine follow-up actions.
• Record accurate clinical notes in digital systems.
